BLUE LAGOON PLAZA, LLC., EXECUTED A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH RBCRA IN JANUARY 2018 TO DEVELOP THE VACANT PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED ON THE CORNER OF BLUE HERON BOULEVARD AND AVENUE F. (THE PARCEL IS OWNED BY RBCRA.) RBCRA’S INTENTION IS TO FACILITATE THE REVITALIZATION OF BLIGHTED PARCELS OF LAND WITHIN THE REDEVELOPMENT AREA WITH THE EXPRESSED GOAL OF STIMULATING ECONOMIC GROWTH AND PROSPERITY FOR THE CITY’S CONSTITUENTS. THE CRA PLAN PROVIDES THAT THE APPROPRIATE BUILDING TYPES FOR THIS LOCATION ARE OFFICE, NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL, AND TOWNHOUSES.
CONSISTENT WITH THE APPROVED SITE PLAN, IT RECOMMENDS THAT ACCESS AND LOADING IS ACCOMPLISHED FROM THE SIDE OF THE PROPERTY WITH THE BUILDING PLACED ALONG THE STREET FRONT. THE APPLICANT, MR. GEORGE STEELE, OWNER OF TONY’S SUBS LOCATED AT 64 W 21ST STREET, RIVIERA BEACH, RESPONDED TO A NOTICE TO DISPOSE OF CRA PROPERTY ADVERTISED IN THE PALM BEACH POST ON FEBRUARY 10, 2016. MR. GEORGE STEELE PROVIDED THE BLUE LAGOON PLAZA PROPOSAL TO ACQUIRE AND DEVELOP THE PROPERTY WHICH WOULD INCLUDE MOVING AND EXPANDING HIS LOCAL BUSINESS INTO THE NEW PROJECT.
