Background/Summary:

In 2018, the City Council re-activated the City’s General Employee Civil Service Board with the appointment of five (5) members plus the appointment of alternate members. The term of office for the board members’ appointment is two (2) years.

The board members’ appointments have expired.

The City informed the current members of the opportunity for re-appointment.

The City received three applications for re-appointment. Mr. Joe Nubin, Mrs. Dorothy Bullard, and Dr. Gloria Koon expressed a desire to continue serving as a board members. Attached are copies of Mr. Nubin, Mrs. Bullard, and Dr. Koon’s applications for another term on the General Employees Civil Service Board.

The City announced and advertised the opportunity to serve on the General Civil Service Board to the public by placing vacancies on the City’s website and media outlets. However, no applications were received.

The Civil Service Board Board meets monthly at 6:00 p.m. at Lindsey Davis at 1550 W. 28th Street. A copy of the duties and responsibilities and composition of the existing board members list is included with this package.
