| | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | The Riviera Beach Public Library has submitted an annual State Aid to Libraries grant application to the State Library and Information Services Division of Florida since 2009. On September 30, 2020, the Library submitted its 2020-2021 annual State Aid grant application and received notification on March 31, 2021 that an award in the amount of $14,674 is being granted to the Library for FY2020-2021. On June 2, 2021 the Library received an updated final award notification stating the Library will receive a revised award amount of $16,712, based on the State's budget appropriation, which increased from $15,669,030 to $17,304,072.
To date, the Library applied for and was awarded State Aid grant funds totaling $213,997. These funds are used to defray the cost of day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Library and not for the purchase or construction of a library building or library quarters, as specified in the State's Guidelines and Application, Section IX, "Use of Grant Funds," Subsection B. |
