After the adoption of Special Events Ordinance Number 4161, City staff presented new special event fees at the April 7, 2021 City Council Meeting for approval. The City Council, directed staff to determine if existing special event fees were approved by previous council members, and that the item be brought back at a subsequent meeting.
Research was conducted and staff has determined that there is currently no record of approval by past council members on the existing fees. Therefore, staff is bringing forward new and existing fees to the City Council for approval so that all appropriate fees can be utilized as part of the special event permitting process.
The fees will cover the costs associated with special event permitting such as use of personnel, facilities, and equipment.
