The City has made significant capital improvements to its marina, which are ongoing. Phase IV is now in progress. As such, the City needs to continue employing a coastal engineer which has special and broad experience in marine/coastal engineering, planning and design services to assist with the improvements to the City of Riviera Beach Marina, to perform assessments, investigations, geotechnical and environmental studies and testing, preparing reports, preliminary drawings, design, detailed drawings and bid specifications, planning, project management services during construction and frequent consultation with City’s personnel.

In accordance with the provisions of the City’s Procurement Ordinance, staff solicited Request for Qualifications (RFQ No. 1023-21-2 for Professional Marine/Coastal Engineering Consulting Services for Improvements to the City of Riviera Beach Marina.

The selection committee short-listed three (3) firms in accordance with the State of Florida’s “Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act” (Florida Statute 287.066) namely Sea Diversified, Inc., Cummins Cederberg, Inc, and Edgewater Resources, LLC. Sea Diversified, Inc. of Delray Beach, Florida was selected as the number one ranked firm, and Cummins Cederberg, Inc. of Jupiter Florida was selected as the number two ranked firm, and Edgewater Resources, LLC of Pompano Beach, Florida was selected as the number three ranked firm to provide the services identified in the City’s Request for Qualifications.
