| | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | The City Council recently approved agreements with Florida Power and Light (FPL) for installation and public access to electric vehicle charging stations at City facilities. Florida Power and Light is now offering a standard charging station for the new library at 2129 Congress Avenue.
FPL will install and own the charging equipment station and the City will pay the appropriate electric usage monthly. FPL will install a separate meter for the station at the Library and bill the City separately. At the end of the seven-year term, the agreement may be renewed on an annual basis for up to three additional years. In complement, at the end for the agreement, FPL will either remove the equipment at its expense or sell the equipment to the City based on future mutually agreed upon terms. |
