Subject: 

A resolution approving a change order with All-Site Construction Inc. of West Palm Beach, Florida for construction and renovation services to the second floor of City Hall in the amount of $48,676; brining the total scope of work to $98,452; authorizing the City Manager to approve change orders up to ten percent (10%); and authorizing the Director of Finance and Administrative Services to make payment for same from Project 18010.


Recommendation/Motion: Staff recommends that the City Council approve the resolution.

Background/Summary: 

At the November 18th, 2020 City Council meeting, Resolution 109-20 authorized the award of a work order to All-Site Construction in the amount of $49,776. During the Council meeting, there was discussion of changes to the design and layout of the 2nd floor space that will house the CRA and Code Compliance and staff anticipates a change order of approximately $50,000. All-Site Construction has provided  the enclosed Change Order in the amount $48,676.

 

The proposed renovations to the second floor will prepare the old City Manager and Legal suites into two separate work spaces with a combination of offices and cubicles. The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency and Code Compliance will relocate to this space. This space is adjacent to Development Services allowing for synergy between all development and construction activities within the City.
