Background/Summary: 

The purpose of the Derelict Vessel Removal Grant is to reimburse the City of Riviera Beach for removal and disposal of two derelict vessels from the public waters of the State of Florida within the jurisdiction of the Riviera Beach Police Department for its Derelict Vessel Removal Project.

 

The removal and disposal of these derelict vessels will improve boating safety by removing hazards to navigation.  This project will also help to restore sensitive marine resources and improve water quality.

 

The vessels designated for removal are:

 

White 32' Egg Harbor Cabin Cruiser (Reg: FL8300HV/HIN: EGH33136M82D)

White 35' Albin Trawler (Reg: FL7072FY/HIN: HHG361156M78D)

 

The City of Riviera Beach will be reimbursed for all labor, equipment, and materials to remove and dispose of these two derelict vessels in the amount not to exceed $16,720.00.
