| | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | ON FEBRUARY 28, 2018, THE RBCRA BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APPROVED RESOLUTION 2018-03 AUTHORIZING STAFF TO NEGOTIATE PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AGREEMENTS WITH: STREET ART REVOLUTION, MURALS BY GEORGETA/FONDOS STUDIO LLC, AND BIG “D” GRAFIX LLC, WHO RESPONDED TO AND WERE SELECTED FOR ROUND I OF THE PUBLIC ART AND BRANDING PROJECT. IN JUNE 2018, THE BOARD APPROVED NINE MURAL DESIGNS FOR INSTALLATION. TO DATE, THE AGENCY HAS INSTALLED NINE MURALS WITHIN THE RBCRA DISTRICT. IN APRIL OF 2019, THE BOARD PROVIDED APPROVAL FOR THE AGENCY TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE THREE ARTISTS FOR ROUND II OF THE PUBLIC ART AND BRANDING PROJECT. JULY OF 2019 THE BOARD PROVIDED FINAL APPROVAL TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH THE THREE ARTISTS TO COMPLETE ARTWORK AT SEVEN LOCATIONS IN THE RBCRA DISTRICT. TO DATE, THE AGENCY HAS COMPLETED THREE MURALS, TWO ON SINGER ISLAND AND ONE AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE COMMUNITY GARDEN. SEPTEMBER OF 2020, THE APPROVED BUDGET FOR FY2020/202, INCLUDED THE PUBLIC ART & BRANDING PROJECT ROUND III FOR $165,000.00. |
