In an effort to expedite improvements at the water treatment plant, Brown and Caldwell has offered a proposal to assist with recently approved projects and evaluate treatment equipment not yet addressed. Brown and Caldwell was involved in developing the Design Criteria Technical Memorandum, which the approved GlobalTech and Cardinal Contractors Design Build work is based on, and if permitted will continue to provide engineering support.
The proposal includes an analysis and recommendations of the filters, air stripper, and valves in the water treatment plant. Each of these process components have issues: 1. Several filters, particularly in Filter Bank 1-8, are inoperable
2. Air strippers have a leak in system
3. Valves in Water Treatment are not working properly
Additionally, the proposal includes project management framework development to create the foundation for a standard system to manage the status of engineering projects in the Utility Special District.
