On September 17, 2014, the Mayor and City Clerk executed a Legal Services Agreement with Attorney Corey Smith to serve as the City’s Special Master for Code Enforcement hearings, Unsafe Building hearings, and for other City hearings for a term of two (2) years, with the option to extend the term of the Agreement for two additional two (2) year periods should Attorney Corey Smith wish to renew the Agreement for additional Terms.
On September 19, 2016, the City Council approved the first two (2) year Term renewal of the Legal Services Agreement by Resolution No. 124-16, extending the contract for Attorney Corey Smith to continue serving as the City’s Special Master.
On October 17, 2018, the City Council approved the second two (2) year renewal of the Legal Services Agreement via Resolution 111-18, extending the term of Attorney Corey Smith as Special Master for Code Enforcement hearings, Unsafe Building hearings, and for other City hearings.
At this time, Attorney Corey Smith wishes to continue serving as the City’s Special Master/Magistrate and has executed a new Legal Services Agreement (“Agreement”) which is attached hereto.
City Council approval of this Resolution would authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a Legal Services Agreement with Corey Smith for a term of two (2) years with the option to extend the Term of the Agreement for two additional two (2) year periods should Attorney Corey Smith wish to renew the Agreement for additional Terms.
