Background/Summary: 

The City Council has asked staff to look into potential improvements for the Community Benefit Program. Therefore, this memorandum is to discuss potential modifications to the Community Benefits Program Policy. The Community Benefits Program is an additional tool in the City’s “toolkit” that can assist the organization in reaching its strategic goals and objectives. Revisions to the policy can align the program to the City’s goals of being accountable, transparent, equitable, and operationally effective.

 

City staff requests that the City Council provide direction as to which avenue they may want to pursue in modifying the current program policy. A final recommendation of a revised program policy will be presented at the March 18, 2020 Council Meeting for approval.
