As the City Council may recall, at is meeting on June 19, 2019, it approved temporary closures of North Ocean Avenue for Hammerhead Productions to conduct a total of six (6) activities at the beach beginning August 2019 through March 2020. At this time, Hammerhead Productions is changing its original schedule of festivals, which is affecting its need to close North Ocean Avenue on March 27, 28, and 29. Rather, to conduct a replacement event scheduled for March 21 and 22, the production company is now requesting closure of North Ocean Avenue on that date.
More specifically, the new/replacement festival event is entitled “Jeeps on the Island”. This event is designed to display Jeep vehicles and it is expected that the Festival will attract a wealth of individuals - both Jeep stakeholders and spectators. In concert, the Festival will include an array of food items, entertainment and arts and crafts exhibits. This event is free and open to the public and concludes the respective series of Hammerhead Productions.
