| | | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | The City of Riviera Beach has always recognized the life and legacy of the Hon. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King was at the forefront of fighting for equality and access for all people. His contribution to this nation is immeasurable, and as a city, we recognize and celebrate the amazing life and legacy of this remarkable person. We understand that the torch still burns bright and that the dream is still obtainable, but there is much work left to be done. As a community and a city, we celebrate those who seek to bring unity and peace and to spread love and affection to all. As a result of Dr. King’s life and legacy, the City of Riviera Beach, Florida, proffers a resolution to honor the Hon. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and celebrate what would have been his 90th birthday. |
