The purpose of this proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City and Palm Beach State College (PBSC), Palm Beach Gardens Campus, is to establish obligations to be met in the furtherance of the mutual goal of facilitating the education of students taking PBSC courses at the City of Riviera Beach facilities.  In this MOU, Palm Beach State College agrees to coordinate with City officials to identify, register, and orient citizens who will be participating as students in college provided educational courses located at City facilities. Palm Beach State College also agrees to provide instructional faculty, academic management, and program oversight to ensure that the quality of courses taught reflect college level quality; and provide career center services to help students develop professional skills.  The City agrees to provide educational space within its facilities; partner with the PBSC to provide information sessions and other events to assist citizens to learn about the educational opportunities offered by the programs; collaborate with the local business community to align employment opportunities to educational credentials earned in the programs; and collaborate with PBSC to help students learn other skills in advancement of their careers.
