| | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | The 2020 planning group has met several times in preparation for the 2020 celebration. Key points and dates are:
- There will not be a Gala this year. The Gala was expensive and even though tickets were sold it was a financial liability. The planning group feels the community will gain more from different events.
- The Gala will be replaced by youth events and some other unique activities.
- The Senior Luncheon will be Thursday January 16, 2020 at the Marina Events Center
- The parade will be Saturday November 18, 2020 beginning at 10 a.m. utilizing the same route as the past 2 years. Beginning at Congress and Blue Heron and heading east to Ave. L.
- The budget for the 2020 celebration is $35,000 plus any sponsorship's we may attain. The Riviera Beach CRA has agreed to once again be a sponsor.
- The attached resolution is necessary for the Florida Department of Transportation permit for the parade.
