The City of Riviera Beach Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with Game On! will host four (4) race events in Riviera Beach. This is a tri-city effort, including North Palm Beach and the Town of Palm Beach Shores.
The Wendy Martinez Legacy 5K & 10K races are scheduled for Saturday, November 9, 2019, from 6:00 am to 10:00 am. The running events will consist of 3.1 mile and 6.2 mile runs. Certain roads outlining the runners' paths must be closed to local traffic to provide for the safety of the participants.
The City must provide a resolution to the State of Florida Department of Transportation to obtain a permit for the special use or temporary closure of said roads. North Ocean Avenue will already be closed for the approved Hammer Head Food and Craft Festival event happening that weekend. This Game On! Race will be taking place in the morning before the Hammer Head Food and Craft Festival Event and thereby, there will be not be any disruptions.
The Game On! Race - Singer Island Half Marathon & 10K is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2020, from 6:00 am to 11:00 am. The running events will consist of 13.1 mile and 6.2 mile runs. Certain roads outlining the runners' paths must be closed to local traffic to provide for the safety of the participants. The City must provide a resolution to the State of Florida Department of Transportation to obtain a permit for the special use or temporary closure of said roads.
The Game On! Palm Beaches Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2020, from 6:00 am to 11:00 am. The race includes a 1/4 mile swim, 10 mile bike ride, and a 3 mile run. Certain roads outlining the runners' and bikers' paths must be closed to local traffic to provide for the safety of the participants. The City must provide a resolution to the State of Florida Department of Transportation to obtain a permit for the special use or temporary closure of said roads.
The Game On! Palm Beaches Triathlon #2 is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2020, from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. The includes a 1/4 mile swim, 10 mile bike ride, and a 3 mile run. Certain roads outlining the runners' and bikers' paths must be closed to local traffic to provide for the safety of the participants. The City must provide a resolution to the State of Florida Department of Transportation to obtain a permit for the special use or temporary closure of said roads.
Game On Race Events provide services to those who put on activities, but lack the manpower, equipment, or the expertise to do it themselves. Game On Race Events will market and promote all four (4) events across the state and nationwide through its various marketing tools.
These type of events are not only a great way to attract positive attention in the public eye, but also make for a great venue to showcase the many enhancements the City has made.
Game On Race events will pay all fees associated with the events, secure and pay for police assistance and provide a certificate of insurance listing the City as additionally insured. There will be no direct cost to the City to host these events.
