Background/Summary: 

The applicant, Florida Power & Light (FPL), has applied for plat approval (PA-19-01) in order to replat the real property associated with FPL’s Physical Distribution Center, currently known by the following parcel control numbers: 56-42-42-36-33-000-0000; 56-42-42-36-08-001-0000; 56-42-42-36-19-001-0000; 56-42-42-36-24-000-0010; 56-42-42-36-00-000-5090; and 56-43-42-31-00-000-7080.  This replat impacts approximately 88.68 acres of land, located east of the intersection of North Military Trail and Port West Boulevard, addressed as 2460 Port West Boulevard.  Submittal of application for approval of the FPL plat (PA-19-01) was a condition of approval for the previously approved FPL Port West Site Plan (SP-18-17), per City Resolution No. 141-18. 

 

A third-party plat review has confirmed that the proposal complies with applicable Florida Statutes.  On May 9, 2019, the Planning and Zoning Board reviewed and unanimously recommended approval of plat application PA-19-01 to the City Council.  City staff recommends City Council approval of this resolution.
