A resolution of the City Council of the City of Riviera Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida, authorizing the Mayor to execute the agreement with Yacht Harbor Manor Association for the upgrade of street signs along Manor Blvd., Manor Drive, Morse Blvd., Powell Drive, Singer Drive, and Ardmore Way; and providing an effective date.

Background/Summary: 

Yacht Harbor Manor Roadway Improvements (Singer Island South),was approved on November 1, 2017 for reconstruction. The project consists of demolition of the roadway, installation of exfiltration trench for water quality treatment, construction of new concrete pavement roadway, water system, sanitary sewer system, curb, gutter, installation of sidewalks, and new street signage. The project was advertised for bids on August 3, 2017. Two bidders submitted bids ranging from $8,642,718.85 to $9,637,806.76. The lowest bid was submitted by Giannetti Contracting Corporation based in Pompano Beach, Florida. The Purchasing Department has reviewed the bids and recommends award of bid to the lowest bidder, Giannetti Contracting Corporation in the amount of $8,642,718.85.

 

In 2018, the Yacht Harbor Manor Association approached City Staff requesting permission to upgrade the street signage from the standard signage to upgraded decorative signs. The current City contract with Giannetti included funding in the amount of $12,870 for the standard street signs. The Association requested installing upgraded signs and seeking reimbursement from the City for the currently allocated funds. In working with the City Attorney's office the enclose agreement was developed and executed by the Associate for consideration by the City Council. 

 

Based on the executed agreement and approval of the office of City Attorney, it is staff recommendation to execute the agreement between the City and the Yacht Harbor Manor Association for upgrading street signage for the Yacht Harbor Manor Roadway Improvements (Singer Island South).
