Section 31-59 of the City of Riviera Beach Code of Ordinances establishes the requirements for Site Plan review by the City Council. D. R. Horton, Inc. desires to develop a multi-family residential development consisting of 89 townhome units, referred to as Riviera Cove, on 9.50 acres of land located at 3301 Broadway Avenue. The Planning and Zoning Board reviewed the subject site plan application (SP-18-09) along with corresponding documents and City staff report, on May 23, 2019, and recommended approval of the proposed site plan application proposal by an unanimous vote. City staff and the City Council finds that the proposed site plan is consistent with the City’s Comprehensive Plan and the City’s Code of Ordinances. On June 12, the City’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) held a public meeting to discuss the Riviera Cove site application proposal and found the proposed development consistent with the Riviera Beach CRA’s Redevelopment Plan.
