Background/Summary: 

Section 31-580 of the City’s Code of Ordinances, “Off-site valet parking”, allows a business located within the Town of Palm Beach Shores to petition the City Council to request the use of parking within the City of Riviera Beach for off-site valet use.  The Buccaneer Restaurant is located at 142 Lake Drive, in the Town of Palm Beach Shores.   1100 East Blue Heron Boulevard, formerly functioned as a bank, however, this property has been vacant for an extended period of time.  The principal owner of the Buccaneer Restaurant also owns 1100 East Blue Heron Boulevard, and has requested that this site be utilized for off-site valet parking per City Code Section 31-580. 

 

The Planning and Zoning Board reviewed the subject petition on May 23, 2019 and unanimously recommended approval to City Council.  City staff found that the off-site valet parking petition meets the requirements provided within City Code Section 31-580.  City staff recommends City Council review and consideration of this item.
