Background/Summary: 

Cassandra Wooten sustained injuries when she slipped and fell on an unknown substance on the floor while at work on June 23, 2005.  Ms. Wooten filed a claim against the City on June 27, 2005, after treatment.  On March 5, 2019, Counsel for Ms. Wooten negotiated with counsel for the City, Risk Management, and representatives of Gallagher Bassett, to settle the claim for $60,000, subject to City Council approval.  The City finds that approving this settlement and authorizing payment is in the best interests of the City and serves a valid public purpose.
