| | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | One of the pumps at the Utility Special District’s potable water repump station located at Avenue “U” has recently failed and the other pump is very old and likely to fail. As a result of the failure and probable failure of the other pump has seriously compromised the ability to pump water into and out of this potable water ground storage tank. This repump station is critical in maintaining water quality and water pressure for the western portion of the Utility Special District’s potable water distribution system; and is critical for maintaining adequate water supply during peak consumption and fire protection; and the integrity of the piping for the influent fill line to the potable water ground storage tank has been weakened and there is a likelihood of failure; and this project will improve the integrity and reliability of the potable water distribution system. |
