| | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | Gregory James Fragakis and Lori Fragakis brought suit against the City of Riviera Beach for injuries Mr. Fragakis sustained from a vehicle accident at Blue Heron Blvd. and North 42nd Way, Riviera Beach, Florida, on January 26, 2016. On December 21, 2017, Mr. and Mrs. Fragakis filed a complaint against the City, Case No. 502017CA013876XXXXMB AJ, alleging that a City police officer was negligent in the operation of his motor vehicle in a manner that caused it to collide with Mr. Fragakis' motor vehicle. The complaint also asserted a claim on behalf of Lori Fragakis, his wife, for loss of companionship and consortium. On March 6, 2019, Counsel for Mr. Fragakis negotiated and mediation the matter with Counsel for the City, Risk Management, and representatives of Gallagher Bassett, to settle the case for $75,000, subject to City Counsel approval. |
