HAVING PASTORED THE PLEASANT HEIGHTS MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH ON WEST 34TH STREET FOR NEARLY 40 YEARS, THE CHURCH FAMILY, COMMUNITY AND MAYOR BELIEVE THE STREET SHOULD BE RENAMED IN HONOR OF REVEREND LEROY PARRISH.  OVER THE 39 YEARS REVEREND PARRISH HAS CONTINUED TO BE A GREAT LEADER, AN EXCELLENT TEACHER AND AN EXCEPTIONAL VISIONARY IN THE RIVIERA BEACH COMMUNITY.
