Recommendation/Motion: 
Staff recommends that the City Council approves the inter-local agreement between the City of Riviera Beach and Palm Beach County Drowning Prevention Coalition and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the inter-local agreement to accept vouchers for payment for swim lessons at the Barracuda Bay Aquatic Complex.

Background/Summary: 
Palm Beach County through its Drowning Prevention Coalition ("DPC") Learn to Swim Program distributes vouchers to the public which may be redeemed for swimming lessons at designated aquatic facilities within Palm Beach County. The City's Parks and Recreation Department has offered the vouchers for the past 10 years. The vouchers provide free swim lessons to individuals at the Barracuda Bay Aquatic Complex which is a designated facility.
 
All swim lessons are offered on a first come first served basis. Swim lessons for residents are $30.00 and $40.00 for non-residents per two-week session. Swim lessons are offered at Barracuda Bay from April 2019 through September 2019.
