Background/Summary: 

The Parks and Recreation Department has installed lightning detection systems at three locations. Wells Recreation Complex, Dan Callaway Park and Barracuda Bay Water Park. 

 

The purpose of this item is to educate Council and residence about the system, how it works and what the public should do when the alarms are activated.

 

There will be signage at each location directing the public in what to do when an alarm sounds.
