A resolution approving the Department of Environmental Protection Agreement No. LP5020C between the City of Riviera Beach and the Department of Environmental Protection for receiving project funds in the amount of $750,000 to be used for the water quality improvements in the Singer Island South Roadway Construction project; and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement.



Recommendation/Motion: Staff recommends that the City Council approve the resolution.

Background/Summary: 

On June 2018, Florida’s Governor, Rick Scott, executed the State of Florida Fiscal Year 2018-2019 General Appropriations Act providing the City of Riviera Beach $750,000 in Project Funds for water quality improvements for the Singer Island South Roadway project.

 

The total construction cost for improvements as approved to Gianetti in Resolution 127-17 is $8,642,718. The difference between construction costs and Department of Environmental Protection funds will be covered utilizing various City funding sources including but not limited to utility district and stormwater utility funds.

Staff recommends approval of the agreement by the City Council.
