Background/Summary: 

The section of West 28th Street from Broadway to Avenue ‘S’ is platted road right-of-way.  Bishop John D. Alexander was the pastor of Pentecostal Church of God located at 1289 W 28th Street.  Mayor Masters requested the renaming of the aforementioned section of West 28th Street from Broadway to Avenue “S” to “Bishop John D. Alexander Street”.  The Mayor and City Council finds that the renaming of said section is appropriate.

 

The purpose of this item is to ratify the City Council vote on October 17, 2018 to rename the right of way presently known as 28th Street and to provide resolution with boundaries for same.
