BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
THE PORT OF PALM BEACH IS REQUESTING DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL FROM THE CITY OF RIVIERA BEACH FOR SITE PLAN APPROVAL, AND RELATED LAND USE AND ZONING AMENDMENTS. THE FIRST READING OF THE LAND USE AND REZONING WAS HELD ON APRIL 18, 2018. THE CITY COUNCIL WILL CONSIDER THE SITE PLAN FOLLOWING SECOND READING OF THE REQUESTED LAND USE AND REZONING AMENDMENTS. THE CRA BOARD IS IDENTIFIED IN THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE AS A REVIEW AGENCY FOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS. THE BOARDS COMMENTS PROVIDED DURING THEIR DISCUSSION OF THIS ITEM WILL BE FORWARDED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO BE INCLUDED IN THE AGENDA ITEM FOR THE CITY COUNCIL REVIEW OF SITE PLAN AND SECOND READING OF THE ORDINANCE FOR LAND USE AND ZONING AMENDMENT.

THE BOUNDARY OF THE CRA INCLUDES THE PORT OF PALM BEACH, HOWEVER THE CRA PLAN DOES NOT ADDRESS THE INTERNAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE PORT AND THERE ARE NO CONFLICTS WITH THE APPROVED CRA PLAN.
