On February 21, 2018, City Council approved the implementation of the comprehensive salary study as conducted by Management Advisory Group (MAG). At the request of the committee MAG ran several different amortization options to get employees to market. The committee selected the most aggressive amortization of five (5) years to medium (market), ten (10) to maximum.
However, at the Comprehensive Salary Study Workshop held on June 7, 2018, City Council directed staff to bring for implementation 10/20 amortization for managerial employees. In addition, City Council requested to see the current longevity practice as well as the proposed language for Paid Time Off (PTO).
