The City’s annual submission of an application to Palm Beach County Department of Department of Economic Sustainability for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for FY 2017-2018 for the reconstruction of W.36^th Street from Avenue O to President Barack Obama Highway, Avenue N from W.36^th Street to W. 35^th Street, W. 30^th Street and W. 28^th Street from Avenue R to Avenue O, and Avenue O from W. 30^th Street to W. 27^th Street; which is identified in the Northwest Neighborhood Strategy Area was granted. Palm Beach County has approved the application in the amount of $177,587 for the aforementioned project.

In coordination between the Public Works Department and the Utility District it was determined that it is in the best interest of the City to modify the project scope to include upgrades to the water and sanitary sewer system within the project limits. In order to do so, the City requested an amendment to the agreement time schedule to allow for the additional design services, Palm Beach County has agreed and has issued the attached amended agreement for execution by the City.

Staff requests City Council approval of the amended agreement, the scope and the schedule as outlined in amendment 001 and approve construction of W.36^th Street from Avenue O to President Barack Obama Highway, Avenue N from W.36^th Street to W. 35^th Street, W. 30^th Street and W. 28^th Street from Avenue R to Avenue O, and Avenue O from W. 30^th Street to W. 27^th Street.
