The Planning and Zoning Board is a nine member advisory board of the City Council, comprised of seven primary positions and two alternate positions.  All members are appointed by the City Council and serve in a voluntary capacity.  This board is primarily tasked with reviewing Site Plan Applications and new Land Development Regulations.  In total, current board members have approximately 40 years of combined experience serving on the City’s Planning and Zoning Board.  Having this core group of individuals serving in this capacity has resulted in productive meetings and positive outcomes for the City.

Three current board members have expiring terms and have requested re-appointment for a new three year term on the board; Mr. Edward Kunuty, Mr. Tradrick McCoy, and Ms. Margaret Shepherd.  Additionally, both alternate members have served for more than a year and are strong contributors to the board; Mr. Jon Gustafson, 1st Alternate, and Mr. Anthony Brown, 2nd Alternate.  Both alternates have expressed interest in becoming primary board members and filling the two vacant primary seats.  The Planning and Zoning Board has also discussed and supported this request during previous meetings.

City staff recommends re-appointing Mr. Edward Kunuty, Mr. Tradrick McCoy, and Ms. Margaret Shepherd to another three year term on the Planning and Zoning Board.  Additionally, City staff recommends appointing both alternate board members, Mr. Jon Gustafson, 1st Alternate, and Mr. Anthony Brown, 2nd Alternate, to the two vacant primary seats on the board.
