Background/Summary:

Avenue “O”, W. 23^rd St., W. 24^th St., W. 25^th St., W. 26^th St. and W. 26^th Ct. Neighborhood Improvement Project has been scheduled for reconstruction for fiscal year 2017-18. The project consists of demolition of the roadway, installation of exfiltration trench for water quality treatment, construction of asphaltic pavement roadway, water system, sanitary sewer system, curb, gutter and installation of sidewalks. The project was advertised for bids on February 18, 2018. Four bidders submitted bids ranging from $7,196,217.00 to $7,987,082.28. The lowest bid was submitted by Man-Con Incorporated based in Wellington, Florida. The Purchasing Department has reviewed the bids and recommends award of bid to the lowest bidder, Man-Con Incorporated in the amount of $8,230,648. Staff recommends that the City Council award the bid for reconstruction of Avenue “O”, W. 23^rd St., W. 24^th St., W. 25^th St., W. 26^th St. and W. 26^th Ct. Neighborhood Improvement Project to Man-Con Incorporate.

Based on the bid results, staff requests City Council approval of contracting with Man-Con Incorporated to provide construction services for the reconstruction of Avenue “O”, W. 23^rd St., W. 24^th St., W. 25^th St., W. 26^th St. and W. 26^th Ct. Neighborhood Improvement Project.
