Background/Summary: 
The City recently completed negotiations with its General Employees' bargaining union, SEIU. The City and the union held seven (7) negotiation sessions.  Negotiations commenced on July 21, 2017 and concluded on February 8, 2018.

 

Wages and the addition of Paid Time Off (PTO) were two main articles addressed during the negotiations sessions; however, PTO affected three (3) other articles:

  • Article 11:  Basic Work Week
  • Article 12: Sick Leave
  • Article 19 Vacation

 

The attachments provide a history of the negotiations as well as explain the affect it will have on employees.
