One of Chair Pro-Tem Lynne Hubbard's priorities is to continually improve the appearance of the community and the quality of life for the residents of Riviera Beach.
A beautification project will help the City of Riviera Beach in many ways and improving the interior streetscapes can become contagious.
When residents see us taking an active role in doing our part, upholding our responsibilities by improving the interior streetscapes from sidewalk to sidewalk in the City of Riviera Beach, it equates to leadership caring about all residents in all communities. Then residents will also start to take pride in their community and begin to hold others accountable for its beautification and cleanliness.
This beautification project will encourage residents to stop and enjoy the appearance of community and it will create a positive atmosphere for the residents.
When the city looks successful, then it will be successful! This beautification project will prove that residents and existing businesses take pride in their community and therefore, new businesses and future residents looking to relocate will feel welcome.
The goal and objectives of this city-wide beautification project is to provide an outdoor environment that is pleasing to the eye, making the city streets, swales and neighborhood entrances focal points.
The three areas this beautification project will focus on are:

A No more trash pile project

A Corner store overlay project

An Overall streetscape and landscaping plan project
The goals and objectives are:

To landscape the main entrance signs as were planned for in the original design.

To develop an overlay for corner stores that will require owners to operate at a higher standard. The initiative will start with the business owners meeting our current standards and preparing to meet our ultimate goals.

To eliminate trash piles in the City of Riviera Beach through action, education and enforcement.

To create the political will of the present council and future councils to come, to support the desire, need and importance of a clean and beautiful Riviera Beach.
