| | | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | On March 7, 2018, the City Council approved Resolution No. 16-18 authorizing the Director of Finance and Administrative Services to amend the Capital Sheet for Fire Station #2 providing necessary funding for the design of Fires Station #2. The City will need to provide planning, architectural and engineering design and construction oversight services. REG Architecture Inc., as one of the City’s continuing services consulting firms authorized under Resolution No. 77-17, are qualified to not only provide the services, but are also capable of meeting the stringent project deadlines. Given the magnitude of the proposed construction project, staff feels that design and oversight by a qualified architectural firm is necessary to ensure that project deadlines and milestones are met.
Staff requests that City Council approve the work order with REG Architecture Inc., of West Palm Beach, Florida for planning, architectural and engineering Design And Construction Oversight Services for Fire Station #2 to oversee that the planning, design and construction is completed in conformance to the program and to certify the project to all applicable agencies when completed in the amount of $470,000.00. |
