A resolution of the city council of the city of Riviera Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida, authorizing the Director of Finance & Administrative Services to amend the FY18 budget in the capital fund titled “pay as you go” for fire station #2 in the amount of $700,000 and reducing the same in FY19 to address the immediate needs of Fire Station #2 relating to design, construction and a temporary location for staff, and providing an effective date.



Recommendation/Motion: Staff recommends that the City Council approve the resolution.

Background/Summary: 

At the February 7th, 2018 City Council meeting the issue of the deteriorated roof came up during the discussion in reference to City Facilities. The City Council directed staff to re-allocate the budget to provide immediate funding to address the issues. Staff is advancing $700,000 from FY19 to accommodate station design and a temporary location for staff and operations.
