Background/Summary: 

Staff is seeking approval to submit a grant application to the Florida Department of Environmental Protections Land and Water Conservation Fund for $200,000.00 to make upgrades at Dan Calloway Park.

 

The upgrades would include new site furnishings, renovations to the ampitheatre, upgrade the playground, renovate the splash pad area and upgrade site lighting. 

 

There is a match required that would need to be budgeted if we are awarded the grant, however we have three years to complete the grant so we will budget the match in subsequent years.

 

Staff applied for a LWCF grant for the Municipal Beach in 2017 and recently received word that we will be awarded the funds for park improvements at the beach.
