S0771 BETWEEN THE CITY OF RIVIERA BEACH AND THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION PURSUANT TO LINE ITEM 1668A OF THE 2014-2015 GENERAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT FOR RECEIVING PROJECT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,300,000 TO BE USED FOR THE WATER QUALITY IMPROVEMENTS ALONG VARIOUS ROADS THROUGHOUT THE CITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Background/Summary: 

On June 2, 2014, the Governor of Florida executed Fiscal Year 2014-15 General Appropriations Act, Chapter 2014-53, Laws of Florida providing appropriation of $1,300,000 to the City of Riviera Beach and the City has entered into Department of Environmental Protection Agreement No. S0771 in order to receive the State appropriation funds for the project. The Avenue “O” portion of the project is going through a redesign and the City will need to extend the expiration date of the agreement, the Department of Environmental Protection has agreed to extend the agreement expiration date as outlined in Amendment No. 1 until July 2019.

 

Staff requests that City Council execute Amendment No. 1 with the Department of Environmental Protection to extend the expiration time for completion of the project until July 2019.
