The City of Riviera Beach is faced with multiple challenges relating to its water and wastewater infrastructure, many of which are highly time sensitive issues. The City is under multiple consent orders that require action in the near term and for which the City requires a consulting Engineering firm with existing knowledge of the City’s infrastructure and the challenges faced and experienced in the preparation of such design solutions. With the Consent Order from PBC and subsequent US Water report, many improvements will need to be implemented on a short time schedule and in the immediate future. C Solutions and Hazen and Sawyer were both involved in the development of the Water and Wastewater Masterplan that identifies many of the fixes to the water and wastewater issues and are up-to-speed on the challenges faced in bring the City into regulatory compliance and in rehabilitating the City’s aging infrastructure. The City also has some projects, for example the implementation of new disinfection facilities at the WTP, the rehabilitation of the north chemical building at the WTP, and secondary disinfection systems to aid in the reduction of low chlorine residual in Gramercy Park, for which C Solutions has particular knowledge and is needed for the rapid implementation of solutions. The City has plenty of work that needs to be done under tight deadlines and requires a Consulting Engineering firm under a General Consulting Contract to assist the City in moving forward.
