Background/Summary: 
Florida Statute 200.065 requires the City to hold two public hearings in the month of September to adopt the millage rate and the budget.  The public hearings cannot be on the same date as the School Board and the County.  The School Board is holding their public hearing on the 6th which is why the City has to have a special meeting to tentatively adopt its millage and budget on September 7.  The millage rate that is being presented is 8.4520 mills, which is the same millage rate as current year.  This millage rate is anticipated to generate $40.933 million in ad valorem tax revenues, $5.4 million will be remitted to the CRA for their annual TIF payment.
