| | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | On August 3, 2017, the Bureau of Justice Assistance announced that $29,306 was allocated to the Riviera Beach Police Department through the 2017 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. On August 20, 2017, the Police Department submitted the required grant application.
On June 26, 2018, the Police Department received approval notification of the Award. This grant will be used to purchase additional In-Car Video Systems for Patrol Vehicles. In-car Video has been proven to increase officer safety, reduce citizen complaints, and aids in the successful prosecution of criminal cases. |
