Recommendation/Motion: 

To approve a resolution authorizing the transfer of $10,155 from the General Fund Contingency Account to the General Fund Civil Drug Court Contract Services Account in the amount of $9,355 and the Civil Drug Court Repair & Maintenance Equipment Account in the amount of $800 to cover unexpected expenses related to the operations of the Division.

Background/Summary: 

Since the creation of the Civil Drug Court in 1991, the Clerk of the Court has prepared and E-Filed all Marchman Act petitions, case court orders, summons service and all other related court orders.  The Palm Beach County Clerk of Court notified all specialty courts that it would need to E-File and prepare case court orders as well as summons services effective March 1, 2017.  This change is a result of the Clerk of the Court's decision to no longer E-File, prepare case court orders and summons service on behalf of any of the Palm Beach County specialty courts.
