Background/Summary: 

Staff seeks authorization to apply to the State of Florida Division of Cultural Affairs Cultural Facilities Grant program for funds to assist with the construction of the Riviera Beach Heights Community Center.

 

The Cultural Facilities program grants funds based on actual cost. The projected construction cost is $1,150,000.00 which would equate to an approximate grant of $383,000.00. The grant requires a 25% cash match which is budgeted. Other match dollars can come from inkind services.

 

One of the requirements of the grant is to have a resolution of the Council authorizing the application and the match funds.
