ON SEPTEMBER 23, 2016 THE RIVIERA BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY SUBMITTED A GRANT APPLICATION FOR FUNDING TO THE STATE LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SERVICES DIVISION OF FLORIDA FOR A STATE AID TO LIBRARIES GRANT.  ON APRIL 18, 2017 THE LIBRARY RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF THE AWARD BEING GRANTED TO THE LIBRARY IN THE AMOUNT OF $23,043.  THESE FUNDS WILL BE USED AS STATED IN THE GUIDELINES AND APPLICATION, SECTION IX, "USE OF GRANT FUNDS," SUBSECTION B, "FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE LIBRARY AND NOT FOR THE PURCHASE OR CONSTRUCTION OF A LIBRARY BUILDING OR LIBRARY QUARTERS."
