The Florida Legislature is currently considering House Bill 13 and Senate Bill 1770 which would limit and restrict the abilities of CRA’s to help encourage and promote redevelopment in our City. The Riviera Beach CRA currently has 24 years remaining to implement the future directives of the CRA Board of Commissioners, these future would be affected by the proposed new legislation.
The Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA) and the League of Cities are actively opposing these bills. This presentation will provide an update on the progress of the pending bills and discuss the strategy and future actions that will best position the Agency if the legislation passes.
