Background/Summary:

As a part of the Riviera Beach Parks and Recreation Summer Camps food service is a major element of the program. The Parks and Recreation Department participates in the summer meals program through the Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Camp participants are provided a breakfast and a lunch through this program as well as snacks from other sources.

This is a reimbursed grant program where Parks and Recreation expends the funds to purchase the meals and the department is reimbursed for those cost. The program expends approximately $30,000 per summer and reimbursed accordingly.

The agreement must be approved and executed in order for the Department to partake in the program.
