Background/Summary: 

OPERATION HOPE, INC. WILL HOST ITS 2017 SUMMER CAMP FOR ROUGHLY 67  CHILDREN AND YOUTH RANGING FROM THE AGES OF 5 TO 17 YEARS OLD.  THIS SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM IS BEING OFFERED TO THE HOMELESS AND DISADVANTAGED IN THE COMMUNITY. ACTIVITIES BEING OFFERED ARE SWIMMING, BOWLING, MOVIES AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, A HEALTHY BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND SNACK WILL BE PROVIDED.  AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES WILL BE ARTS & CRAFTS AND THERE WILL BE SCHEDULED FIELD TRIPS.

IN SUPPORT OF THE 2017 SUMMER CAMP, COUNCILWOMAN KASHAMBA MILLER-ANDERSON IS DONATING $500 FROM DISTRICT 2 COMMUNITY BENEFITS FUNDS.

 

THE CAMP WILL OPEN ON JUNE 5TH AND CONTINUE FOR 10 WEEKS ENDING AUGUST 11, 2017.
