| | | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | The restrooms in the common area of City Hall as well as the public restrooms in the Library were completely renovated in late 2015, but the remaining staff restrooms in City Hall and the Library are still in need of renovations due to their poor condition which is attributed primarily to age. There are a total of eight restrooms in City Hall and one in the Library that need to be renovated. Also, Wells and Tate Gyms had the locker rooms recently renovated in early 2016; however, staff restrooms are still in very poor condition and need to be renovated.
All renovations include complete demolition of the restrooms including the removal of existing drywall. The restrooms will be outfitted with automated components such as motion sensor lights, automatic flush toilets, automatic flush urinals, hands-free paper towel dispensers, hands-free soap dispensers and hands-free faucet.
At the request of Public Works, the City’s Purchasing Department issued Bid No. 817-17 and received two (2) responses from qualified firms with One Call Property Services, Inc. being the lowest responsive and responsible bidder at $149,956.
Staff recommends that City Council approve the contract with One Call Property Services, Inc. for the renovation of all the restrooms in City Hall, Library, Wells Gym and Tate Gym. |
